The fourth essential skill to acquire is consistency. Define rules at home; get them communicated to your children; inform them of the consequences of unfavorable actions and be consistent. The fifth skill that you should be able to practice is positive reinforcement. If you are so quick in pinpointing a negative child behavior, then you should also do the same when they do something good. You should be able to recognize the deed and reward it by praising him, hugging or kissing him or giving a small token. Regardless, the important thing is do it right away.
